Megan and I have always been excited to communicate with others about marriage. We’re certainly not “experts” at marriage by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s a subject that we love communicating about and have a strong desire to see others live long, healthy marriages. A couple of years ago we started our “Do Not Disturb” journey by communicating a 3-week series with a group of 5 or 6 small groups. Then, as you already know, we started the Do Not Disturb Blog just to broaden our horizon’s a bit. While writing about marriage and intimacy will continue to be a strong desire of ours, when we receive an invitation to communicate about marriage up front and in person, it’s not an opportunity we’ll turn down.
Therefore, we were both very excited to receive an invitation to come to Chestnut Ridge Church in Morgantown, WV on Friday, April 20 to present at their Marriage Works event. The subject for the evening is on Cultivating Communication within a Marriage. We’ve had a great deal of fun writing out material for the event throughout the week (in fact, we had to cut out at least 3 pages of material!) and will be presenting some of our talk here on the blog over the next couple of weeks.
That said, if anybody is near the area and would like the opportunity to meet us in person, feel free to sign up for tomorrow night’s Marriage Works conference. It’s going to be a great time, and we really look forward to being there!
